Blanca (she/her) is a registered psychotherapist (ACA L-4), and Assoc. Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) with 22+ years experience as a senior clinician in the public sector working with mental health, family violence and addictions.
Special areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, addiction, relationship issues, stress management, life transition and adjustment issues.

Blanca offers gentle and caring support combined with a belief in our inherent ability to heal. As an integrative psychotherapist, she interweaves psychology with trauma-informed practices, somatic psychotherapy and mindfulness providing a holistic approach that supports alignment of mind, body, and spirit in therapeutic healing.

She has had particular success when working in collaboration with clients looking to gain insight into their experiences, identifying patterns that may be contributing to their current symptoms and concerns. She recognises the importance of the client feeling safe and ready to explore areas that might feel challenging.

Her practice incorporates both traditional talk therapies with a body-centric approach and neuroscientific understanding of trauma. Her therapy modalities include psychodynamic therapy, somatic therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Blanca was born in northern Mexico and moved to the lands of the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin nation in Australia 18 years ago. She was brought up immersed in holistic health and different forms of art, dance, yoga, and meditation.
